African Girl International (AGI) wad founded in the year 2004 and registered in 2006 as a voluntary organization established for the purposes of supporting and empowering the girl child in various development projects and protecting and promoting the rights of girl child. AGI supports its activities in schools and community through donations from well wishers, local partners like churches, membership subscriptions and different government ministries. Currently AGI works with 30 primary and 15 secondary schools.

Vision: A society that upholds the right of the girl child as human rights.

Mission: To advocate, promote and protect the rights of girls and empowerment of the vulnerable orphans within the community.

Goal: To support and empower the girl and vulnerable orphans in all facets of life through education, social and financial.

Objectives
•    To advocate and protect the rights of the girl child and vulnerable children within the community.
•    To empower the vulnerable children (orphans) through initiation of income generating projects for self sustenance and independence.
•    To support the girls to acquire education and enable them compete equally with boys in the job market.

Achievements: Retention of girls in school; support of 30 vulnerable children with school fees; provision of food; supplies and school uniforms to 150 OVCs; renovation of shelters for 10 OVCs; Vocational training for 15 OVCs; Counseling and provision of shelter for 200 girls rescued from FGM; provision of Income Generating Activities for 15 child headed households; mentored 35 girls and training of 120 peer educators.
