CRC operates as a community organization in Bondo, Siaya and Rarieda districts with its secretariat in Bondo town (off Nyakasumbi road).
CRC Membership:
CRC is a membership organization open to high-caliber groups and individuals working on child rights and other related children issues within the three focus districts. Interested parties apply to CRC Board for approval of membership before they join.
Our vision is that in a Lake Basin or region in which all children have unhindered access to their basic rights and in which they enjoy all opportunities to develop their full potential.
The main aim is to provide children and young people alongside their families and communities with practical tools to drive positive change around their lives within communities where they live. In terms if age our main interest is age groups 0 to 14 years (children) and 15 to 25 years (youth).
Core objectives:
(i) To promote quality early childhood care, development and education services targeting excluded and hard to reach children
(ii) To facilitate and undertake advocacy around child rights issues with special focus on child abuse and child labour
(iii) To promote wellbeing and growth of children in the region by working on the areas of child protection, child health and child nutrition
(iv) To work towards equitable access to quality basic education with focus on the first 12 years of learning
